About the opportunity
The Future Students Officer is a rewarding and impactful role that drives local student recruitment and inspires future generations of university students—many of whom may not have considered university as an option.
You’ll work closely with local schools, RTOs and community groups to connect students and families with education pathways. Based at Coffs Harbour and working with autonomy day-to-day, you’ll have strong support from your manager in Lismore and the broader team across campuses.
This is a diverse and fast-paced role that involves public speaking, event coordination, data-driven outreach planning, and supervision of student ambassadors. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships, develop a broad set of skills, and make a real difference in the lives of regional students and their communities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Effectively promote the University and its Faculties/Colleges to build the University’s reputational profile and increase awareness of brand, student options and successes.
- Collate, report on and analyse data to develop an engagement plan for the region, informing future strategies and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and deliver targeted promotional programs for identified markets, including engaging with schools, colleges and RTO’s within the region with clear messaging and defined outcomes, updated appropriately within the University’s CRM systems.
About you
You’re a confident communicator with a passion for inspiring students and building strong community connections. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy juggling a range of tasks, and are motivated by work that has a real and positive impact. More specifically, you will have:
- A degree in business, marketing or a relevant discipline; and experience in a sales related role, recruitment, business development, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated success utilising data to inform decision making and sales strategies, evidenced by high conversion rates.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders to promote an organisation and build brand image.
- Strong computing skills and experience using customer relationship tools, including reporting and communication management.
Salary and benefits
Our staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:
- Full-time, fixed term (12 months)
- Located at Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $118,978.
