About the Opportunity
The QTU is seeking highly organised Administration Officer to temporarily join our team.
Your regular tasks will include:
Respond to general QTU member enquiries on TAFE related matters, providing accurate information and support.
Handle urgent, sensitive, or complex TAFE matters referred by the Information Support Coordinator, ensuring appropriate guidance in line with the QTU’s referral policy.
Maintain and update QTU TAFE resources and the QTAD database in collaboration with responsible officers, ensuring compliance with current industrial policies and legislation.
Monitor the TAFE advice email, responding to enquiries or referring matters to the TAFE Organiser or DGS Admin as needed.
Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion when handling all sensitive information.
About You
To be successful in this position you must have:
A high level of written and verbal communication.
Strong organisational skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities as directed.
Proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and have a strong attention to detail.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Understanding of and/or empathy towards trade unionism and public education including TAFE.
