About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health and substance care across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands, and Banana. With services in each area, including inpatient units, a Step-Up/Step-Down facility in Gladstone, and outreach across CQHHS, the service aims to reduce harm from alcohol and drugs and enhance the health and wellbeing of clients, families, and communities.
About the role:
The Harm Reduction Officer provides support to the development and implementation of strategic and local prevention and promotion initiatives for the AODS service. The position coordinates and monitors the provision of the Needle Syringe Program (NSP) for Gladstone.
The position also supports enhancement of the NSP and Needle Dispensing Machine network across the CQHHS for improved accessibility of injecting equipment, information and services and the Take Home Naloxone (THN) Program. The position also contributes to the development of strategic networks and partnerships that enhance the achievement of client and service outcomes within AODS.
About you:
- While not mandatory, relevant qualifications in the community services field and/or in alcohol and other drug would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $57,088 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
