The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a diligent individual to operate, maintain and construct water and sewerage infrastructure to recognised health, environmental and BVSC standards.

As a Water and Sewer Team Member, you will operate, monitor and maintain all facets of the area’s water and sewerage infrastructure as well as participate in the construction of new water supply and sewerage infrastructure. You will identify and use contemporary technology and equipment.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30215) or equivalent trade-based qualification and has developed skills in the laying of water and sewer mains and associated construction activities.

You will have the following skills and experience;

• Demonstrated complete understanding of water supply and sewerage system operation, maintenance and construction practices.
• Developed fault-finding skill techniques as appropriate to water supply and sewerage systems.
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of a personal computer (or similar mobile computing device) and the associated use of Microsoft software packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, telemetry, SCADA and GIS/mapping software programs.

This is a permanent, full time position working 38 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $74,730.42 gross per annum, comprising of:

• $1,288.90 per week base salary
• $148.22 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
