Rochford Wines is seeking a passionate and experienced Wedding and Functions Manager to join our dynamic Events team. This is your opportunity to work in a stunning location and be part of a vibrant hospitality and events culture.

About the Role

As the Wedding and Functions Manager, you will be responsible for the seamless planning, coordination, and delivery of weddings, private functions, corporate events and special occasion bookings. Reporting to the Director of Tourism & Events, this role offers a unique blend of event management, customer service, and operational support in one of Victoria’s most iconic winery destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all event administration including quotes, contracts, invoices, and event run sheets

Coordinate all logistic elements of weddings and functions from enquiry through to execution

Act as the primary point of contact for wedding couples and social & corporate clients

Conduct venue inspections and sales tours as required

Create event floor plans and assist clients with menu selections and supplier recommendations

Host tastings and logistics meetings, with a focus on upselling packages

Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery

Greet and manage clients on event day, ensuring exceptional service is delivered

Respond to all phone, email, and internal enquiries professionally and promptly

Support the bookings team with phone and admin duties as needed

About You

You love weddings and functions and take pride in delivering memorable client experiences

You’re highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure

You’re a strong communicator who builds rapport easily and follows up promptly

You work well independently and in a team

You’re solutions-focused and thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment

You're flexible, proactive, and willing to assist the wider team in a hands-on capacity when needed

Skills & Experience

3+ years experience as an Event or Function Coordinator (hospitality or winery experience highly regarded)

Strong customer service, organisation and communication skills

Excellent time management and multitasking ability

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems

Passion for hospitality, events, and the wine industry

Must be available to work Saturdays, and evenings as required
