The Role
An opportunity exists within our Engineering Unit for a Project and Design Engineer to join our supportive and collaborative team.
You will:
- Provide timely, innovative and solution focused advice and professional engineering services for the design and development of a range of capital and renewal projects
- Provide detailed site investigations and other engineering investigations to assess project need, define scope and determine suitable solutions for a range of civil infrastructure projects
- Prepare written reports, assist with scoping of future civil infrastructure projects and provide advice to the broader organization on technical matters
- Undertake civil engineering design and documentation to facilitate project cost estimation and construction
The type of projects the team delivers include renewal and new construction of roads, bridges, footpaths, drainage assets and sporting facilities.
About You
To be successful in this new position, you will:
- Have a relevant civil engineering qualification or similar discipline to permit Membership of Engineers Australia
- Experience in the development of design options, solving problems and being flexible as required
- Experience in computer aided design of civil engineering infrastructure with proficiency in the use of computer software including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with proven skills in quality report writing and preparing external correspondence
- Excellent time management skills and enjoy working in a team environment
A satisfactory Police records check and drivers licence is required for this position.
