Protech are currently seeking expressions of Interest for Field Officers to work from the Caboolture depot with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland.
This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.
Benefits:
- Long term, ongoing roles
- Great pay rates- $34 + per hour
- 9 day fortnight
- Uniform, PPE and vehicle during work hours provided
Key Duties:
- Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
- Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
- Driving Company vehicle
Position mandatory requirements:
- Open car licence
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Previous outdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agricultural, Arboricultural, Land Management and Conservation, Civil
- Face to Face customer service experience
- Must be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 - 15klm per day
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen
- Can pass a Police check
