Premier's Department
Senior Project Officer, Mobility
You. At the centre of big ideas.
- Passionate about driving whole-of-government mobility impact across NSW state government?
- We're seeking established experience leading internal recruitment, stakeholder management, process excellence and delivering results.
- Multiple Temporary Clerk Grade 9/10 roles until 30 June 2027 (with potential to be extended or converted to ongoing), based in Martin Place, Sydney CBD.
About the Team
The Workforce Mobility Placement (WMP) Program is a NSW Government initiative led by the Premier's Department with a whole of government remit. We focus on retaining talented public sector employees by matching individuals impacted by organisational change with available roles across government - before those roles are advertised externally. Our work keeps essential skills and experience within the sector and supports smoother career transitions. By facilitating placements without formal assessments or interviews, we help employees remain engaged and contributing to the work of government.
About the Role
As Senior Project Officer, you'll join the Workforce Mobility Placement (WMP) leadership team in the Workforce Planning branch within the People and Workforce Group - a passionate and purpose-driven team committed to creating better career experiences for public sector employees.
You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery and continual improvement of the WMP Program, which connects NSW Government employees impacted by organisational change with new employment opportunities across the public sector. Your work will directly contribute to retaining valuable talent and capability within government.
In this role, you will manage recruitment & mobility related projects end-to-end, build strong stakeholder relationships across the state government system, and use data driven insights to drive program improvements. You'll enhance processes to boost placement efficiency and prepare briefs and advice for senior leaders. Collaboration across teams to support system upgrades and change initiatives will also be key.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how public servants experience mobility and continuity of employment in times of organisational change.
