About the Role

You will join our Organisation and Business Support team within the Strategic Support branch in the Aboriginal Affairs NSW group. As an Assistant Project Officer, you'll support the delivery of business operations and short-term projects by undertaking research, analysis and reporting, and providing high-quality administrative support. This role plays an important part in keeping things running smoothly and ensuring projects align with strategic objectives. This is great opportunity to be part of a team that contributes to positive outcomes for Aboriginal communities across NSW.

We're Looking For

  • Business Support: Demonstrated experience providing exceptional support to business operations, including project implementation, resource coordination, designing tools and preparing reports and briefs to support decision-making
  • Administration Support: Strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver a wide range of support services that ensure smooth and efficient operations across teams and functions
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Finance Administration: Proven experience in financial processes including budget monitoring, purchase order and invoice management, account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate and compliant financial records
  • Technical skills: Proficient in using electronic document management systems, databases, spreadsheets, and MS Office software to support operational and project needs
