About the role

Pipes Plumbing and Gas Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Heavy Machine Operator to join our team in Cleveland, QLD. As a Heavy Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the construction industry, operating and maintaining a range of heavy machinery to support our projects. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating and maintaining a variety of heavy machines, such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes, to complete construction tasks

Performing pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Working closely with the construction team to understand project requirements and execute tasks efficiently

Identifying and resolving any technical issues or operational challenges that arise during construction activities

Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment

Providing support and guidance to less experienced operators as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Heavy Machine Operator in the construction industry

Proven ability to safely operate a range of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction team

Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing job site conditions

Relevant qualifications or licences, such as a Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence, are highly desirable
