About us

Modern Foods and Beverages is a company that specialises in the production of a range of food products. The business is seeking a capable individual to join the small team as a Food Technologist.

Qualifications & experience

  • Formal higher education qualification in a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Sampling and testing of raw materials, semi-finished goods and final food products for their chemical composition and nutritional value
  • Actively contributing in research and development activities for new products development; conducting experiments, setting quality control systems, policies and food safety standards for practical application of the food products
  • Continue researching new techniques and methods to improve existing food products for increasing shelf life
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product quality problems by researching problems, analysing data and development solutions to problems
  • Ensuring and recording that all food products are compliant with quality and safety systems
