Qualifications & experience

  • Be qualified in hospitality with AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or have minimum three years experience as a chef in a Commercial Kitchen.
  • Ideally at least 2 years full- time experience.
  • Experience creating exciting menus.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • PU17 Cafe Rye, a well established cafe in Rye, is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our Dynamic team. At PU17 Cafe, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Key Responsibilities: . Contribute to menu planning, develop new recipes, craft innovative dishes that align with customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • . Lead the kitchen team, ensuring smooth day- to- day operations and effective coordination.
  • Ensure the Kitchen staff adheres to high standards in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
  • Continuously assess the quality of dishes at every stage, from preparation to final presentation, maintaining excellence.
  • Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
  • Oversee the entire food preparation process, from staff training to execution, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Allocate work to other Kitchen staff.
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and advice on best practices for food preparation and presentation.
