Epigroup is seeking an experienced and values-driven WHS Advisor to support one of our key clients in a high-risk operational environment based in Osborne, SA.

This exclusive project sits at the heart of Australia’s sovereign capability and national infrastructure, supporting a long-term program of work within the defence-adjacent maritime and heavy industry sector. With a strong safety culture, complex operational environments, and a highly skilled workforce, this site offers an exciting opportunity to work on something truly significant.

This role is a 3 to 6-month contract to start, with the potential to transition to a permanent role for the right person.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

You’ll work alongside operational teams and senior stakeholders to:

Deliver practical safety support across day-to-day operations on a major industrial site

Coach and mentor line leaders in risk management, safe systems of work, and WHS assurance activities

Facilitate investigations (ICAM desirable) and contribute to incident reporting and risk reduction

Strengthen safety culture through positive engagement, communication and on-the-ground support

Provide advice aligned to legislative requirements and WHS best practice

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that genuinely move the needle

What You’ll Bring:

Tertiary qualification in WHS and 3+ years in a safety advisory role (preferably in high-risk settings)

Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and high-risk activity oversight

Confidence operating within structured environments – defence or heavy industry exposure ideal

Experience with hazardous chemicals and change management processes (desirable)

Exceptional interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills – you're someone who people want in their corner
