Our company located in Milperra, Sydney, is one of the leading players in the Oceania region for Portable Power products. We are looking for an experienced electronics engineer required to engineer, design, develop, test and supervise the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment and work with customer & internal BDM team to create new circuits and portable power solutions to customers requirements.
Responsibilities
Design in solutions and repair & trouble shooting work on DC distribution & power systems
Design battery cells/packs for optimum assembly techniques
Upgrade existing designs to improve efficiency and performance
Build prototypes of concepts to determine technical feasibility to present to management and customers
Work with production team to optimise design for manufacturing from concept stage
Assist production & drafting teams when new products are going into production
Testing & R&D of new battery, charger & DC power products to be ranged
Provide lab inspection reports on repairs and returned DC power products, batteries & test equipment
Repair work on product warranty and fault reporting & analysis
Designing electronic components, circuits and systems used for portable power systems
Working with battery management systems involving CAN bus and microcontroller coding, programming control systems and battery charging solutions
Use of Arbin, Cadex & Vencon battery analysis equipment
Test new equipment; review test data; report results and recommend actions
Writing datasheets and user manuals
Ensuring safety regulations are met and conform to necessary AS/NZ & IEC standards
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or higher in Electronic Engineering
Excellent verbal and written skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines
Knowledge of primary and rechargeable batteries would be an advantage but not essential
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner, whether written or verbal
Intermediate PC Skills, sound knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
