Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled draftsperson to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, with proficiency in CAD software and an eye for accuracy and detail. You will work closely with surveyors and our admin team to prepare plans that adhere to industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Drafting, checking, and revising plans.

Create plans based on sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by surveyors and staff.

Collaborate with surveyors, project managers and other team members to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.

Liaise with clients and local authorities when necessary regarding design requirements.

Ensure compliance with relevant residential design codes and surveying standards.

Maintain drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Preparation of digital data using CSD Editor and/or Capture software

eLodgement of plans at Landgate (both in-house plans and NLR)

Requirements:

Proven experience as a draftsperson or similar role.

Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD)

Proficiency in CSD Editor and/or Capture software (preferred; however, there is an opportunity for training)

Strong understanding of drafting techniques and standards.

Ability to interpret survey data

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Time-management and organisational skills

Diploma or certification in Drafting Technology or related field is preferred.

Understanding of COGO software packages ideal.
