About us

Kindred Health Services was built by a speech pathologist, for speech pathologists. We want to work with clinicians who value their work and who do not want to be run like a billable hour machine.

We work with children, adolescents and adults. We tailor our assessment and therapy processes to address client and family concerns and are a family-centred practice.

We are a small, close-knit team in Canterbury and provide hybrid services (mobile + in-clinic opportunities).

Qualifications & experience

Certified Practising status via Speech Pathology Australia

Current driver's licence and your own car

Current and valid Working with Children Check

National Police Clearance

Current professional indemnity, public liability and income protection insurance (or the ability to obtain these before commencing clinical work).

Value honesty, independence, collaboration, passion, enthusiasm, learning and reflection

Have experience and/or are willing to work within the NDIS space

Be willing to learn or continue to be a Neuro-Diversity-Affirming clinician

Current NDIS worker number (or ability to obtain prior to commencing clinical work)

Tasks & responsibilities

Administering assessments and therapy sessions

Utilise your skills in a range of practice areas, we specifically see client's who need support with: speech, language, literacy, multimodal communication (AAC) assessment/treatment

Completing progress notes/documentation and reports

Liaising with other professionals e.g. teachers, external therapists

Complete autonomy for your work week

We work heavily within the NDIS space and in early intervention, but there is scope for a broader range of practice areas

We have part-time admin assistance to help with scheduling, cancellations and managing other admin related tasks

We have a flexible model where you can work from home, be mobile, work in the clinic or use the office (Canterbury) as a base, depending on how you would like to structure your work week.

We offer contracting and salary positions- depending on your needs.

Kindred Health works closely with other providers and so there is scope to complete your own Quality Improvement projects (if desired)
