Job Description
Zeebra Cafe is seeking an experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking various dishes: Using fresh and seasonal ingredients to create appetizing meals for our diverse clientele.
• Menu planning and development: Collaborating with the management team to design and update menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
• Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards: Ensuring that all food handling and preparation areas comply with health and safety regulations.
• Show cooking techniques and advise on using equipment, selecting ingredients, proper cutting, seasoning, and cooking methods for dishes
• Managing kitchen staff: Supervising and training kitchen assistants and junior chefs to ensure efficient operation and high-quality output.
• Inventory and stock management: Ordering and managing inventory to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and minimizing waste.
• Quality control: Overseeing the presentation and taste of dishes, ensuring they meet Zebra Cafe’s high standards.
• Catering for special dietary requirements: Adjusting food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns.

Skills and Experience

• At least 1 year of full-time experience as a chef in a similar setting.
• Diploma of Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
• Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
