The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Duty Manager to support our resort operations across weekends and other key periods (e.g., management leave). This is a live-on-site or nearby position (within 5km), due to the requirement to be on-call during weekends and when senior managers are unavailable.

This full-time role is perfect for someone with strong hospitality experience, people leadership, and an aptitude for guest service and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day running of resort operations on weekends and during key handover periods

Be the first point of contact for guest issues, complaints, and maintenance needs

Supervise housekeeping and ensure high presentation standards

Manage small retail outlet operations within the resort

Perform general troubleshooting across resort systems (Wi-Fi, POS, etc.)

Provide leadership and support to frontline staff

Ensure smooth handover between weekday and weekend operations

About You:

Minimum 3+ years in hospitality and team leadership roles

Experience with NewBook POS/reservation system (preferred)

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organisational skills

Comfortable with hands-on duties including basic maintenance and troubleshooting

Able to work independently and adapt to flexible working hours

Reside on-site at own expense or within a 5km radius of the resort

Desirable but not essential:

Higher education qualifications in hospitality, management or a related field
