As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Bakery/Pastry Chef Manager to lead our baking operations, inspire our team, and help take our pastry offering to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily bakery operations, including production, staffing, inventory

Supervise and support a team of bakers, pastry chefs

Ensure all baked goods are prepared to recipe and quality standards

Manage inventory levels and order ingredients, packaging, and supplies

Coordinate staff rosters, time sheets, and performance reviews

Maintain compliance with food safety standards and workplace health and safety policies

Work with the owner on new product development, seasonal specials, and pricing strategies

Minimise waste and control food and labour costs to meet profitability targets

Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs when needed

Foster a positive, high-performance culture within the team

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years’ experience in a similar bakery or kitchen leadership role

Strong baking and/or pastry skills, with an eye for detail and quality

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team

Solid understanding of stock control, food costs, and waste management

Knowledge of WHS and food safety compliance (Food Safety Supervisor certificate desirable)

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure

Competent in Microsoft excel and other word processing applications
