We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team, own and build the function with scalability in mind.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in our Sydney office, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. As Internal Legal Counsel, you will:

Run residential conveyancing matters end-to-end.

Review contracts and manage settlements.

Liaise with clients, agents, and lenders.

Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

Provide expert legal advice on property transactions and related matters.

Conduct due diligence on property transactions, including title searches, zoning regulations, and compliance checks.

Advise on risk management and dispute resolution related to property purchases and client engagements.

Collaborate with external legal firms, real estate agents, and other stakeholders as needed.

Stay updated on changes in property law, conveyancing regulations, and real estate market trends.

Support the agency’s leadership team with strategic legal advice to enhance business operations.

The Ideal Candidate

Admitted as a Lawyer with a current practicing certificate in New South Wales

At least 3-5 years’ experience in residential property/conveyancing matters.

Strong experience managing your own conveyancing files.

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Confidence using digital tools and online systems.

A proactive mindset and client-first approach.

Preference for candidates with a background in real estate.

Knowledge of commercial property transactions and leasing agreements is desirable.

Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as the NSW Office of Fair Trading is a plus.
