About AOSHC:
Ainslie Out of School Hours Care is a not-for-profit Out of School Hours Care service located on the grounds of Ainslie School in the suburb of Braddon.
We provide professional and high-quality education and care for up to 120 school aged children (5 to 12 years) every day in a well-resourced centre. Our service operates Before and After School Care during term time and Vacation Care during the school holidays.
The Role:
Ainslie Out of School Hours Care is looking to hire motivated and reliable Educators on a casual basis to join our team, with working hours able to be negotiated for the right applicants. We are looking for the following:
· Qualified Educators: This is an applicant with a minimum of one year of experience working directly with children and a minimum of one year of tertiary study.
· Non-Qualified Educators: This is an applicant who is interested in working with children but may not have direct experience or tertiary qualifications.
As an Educator you will:
· Assist in delivering high-quality, educational, safe, and fun programs.
· Align our programs with the 'My Time Our Place' framework.
· Communicate and engage with children, families, and team members positively and respectfully.
· Identify and respond to children and young people at risk.
· Support the development of children in our care.
· Assist with administrative tasks.
· Supervise children and ensure their safety.
· Perform light cleaning duties.
· Prepare breakfast and afternoon tea.
· Attend monthly staff meetings.
Our ideal candidate will be required for Before School Care from 7:20am-9:20am and After School Care from 2:30pm-6:00pm. The candidate will be available for a minimum of two shifts per week during these times. There will be the opportunity for more hours during our upcoming Winter Vacation Care Program.

Essential Requirements:
· Working with Vulnerable People Registration
· Minimum 2 days availability per week
· For the Qualified Position: A Minimum 1 year of tertiary studies and minimum 1 year of experience working with children.
Highly Desirable:
· Previous work or volunteer experience with children
· First Aid Certificate and CPR
· Asthma Management Certificate
· Anaphylaxis Management Certificate
· Knowledge of the My Time Our Place (MTOP) Learning Framework for School Aged Children.
· Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
