The ICT Digital Solutions team within this large complex State Government Department, are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions, enabling operational excellence, and driving value across a range of ICT and business initiatives.

The successful candidate will have with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and ERP components).

In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for stakeholders, collaborating across IT, business units, and project teams to deliver solutions aligned with our strategic goals. You will lead workshops, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and analyse complex systems to uncover opportunities for improvement. By leveraging your expertise, you will ensure the seamless integration of solutions emerging from our large-scale ICT Vocational Education and Training (VET) Modernisation and Transformation program and business projects into daily operations.

With a focus on outcomes, you will identify and document requirements, map data flows and business processes, and propose future-state solutions that deliver measurable value. Your structured approach to research and analysis, combined with a Human-Centered Design mindset, will help ensure the solutions you deliver are practical, user-focused, and effective.

You'll also contribute to project success by preparing comprehensive documentation, capturing solution designs, options analyses, and risks, and supporting stakeholders through change management activities. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will:

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder groups, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Lead workshops, stakeholder meetings, and engagement sessions to define and document business requirements, current processes, and future-state designs.
• Drive business process re-engineering initiatives to improve workflows, simplify operations, and align with organisational goals.
• Analyse current-state information, map data flows, and propose future-state solutions that enhance efficiency and deliver measurable value.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in information systems, information management, and business processes, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
• Collaborating with internal customers to assess and enhance processes, while navigating the intricacies of existing workflow platforms and tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to conceptualise, design, and implement innovative solutions that integrate seamlessly into ICT operations.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including solution designs, options analyses, technical and functional requirements, risks, and process alignment considerations.
• Generating comprehensive documentation and compelling presentations to effectively communicate analysis findings to stakeholders.
• Support the delivery and integration of solutions emerging from the ICT VET Modernisation program and other business initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
• Simplify business operations through effective data and information capture, improving decision-making and reporting capabilities.
• Provide thought leadership and support for change management activities, helping stakeholders adopt new processes and systems.

Role requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in business analysis, including business process re-engineering, data flow mapping, and requirements elicitation within ICT projects.
• ICT and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Knowledge: Extensive understanding of ICT systems, workflows, and tools, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM and ERP components).
• Experience in a Senior level role, demonstrating experience in the development or enhancement of information systems in relation to systems integration, application 'look and feel', development, deployment and maintenance of applications.
• Experience in contributing to large-scale projects, preferably within the context of digital transformation or modernisation initiatives.
• Comprehensive understanding of Human-Centered Design principles and their application in delivering user-focused solutions through structured research and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in documenting requirements, solution designs, and technical considerations, with strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, lead workshops, and contribute to change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes and solutions.
• Knowledge of BABOK principles and methodologies, with a certification such as IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) highly desirable.
