Aurum Contracting is mid-size privately owned Civil Contractor, Infrastructure and site maintenance company working in the renewable and other energy industry in rural and remote QLD.

About the role

We are currently seeking a permanent full time Senior Civil Project Engineer to manage all site operations and staff across civil Projects in Central and North QLD on e.g. FIFO /DIDO rosters e.g. 10/4 . This is a Senior role and is not based in Brisbane. There is no VISA sponsorship available for this role. Must be available for an immediate start. Note; Salary is fixed, there is no uplift or relocation allowance for this position. Car & laptop provided, monthly phone allowance, all travel, accommodation and meals provided.

Essential Criteria

Must be currently living and working in QLD, there is no VISA sponsorship for this role

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Construction/Engineering

Minimum of five years experience in a similar role managing site operations, e.g. work programs, QA, staffing requirements and operation staff management, including all HR functions on site.

As this is a salaried role you must be available for weekends and out of hours ops management, phone calls and emails

Must have demonstrated experience in bulk earthworks and concreting Note: Resumes without this experience will be rejected.

Must be prepared to work FIFO rosters e.g. 10/4

Knowledge of and ability to produce quality project documentation e.g. SWMS, Risk Assessments, reports, ITPs, IFCs, daily works spread sheet for claims submission

Must be comfortable to work for a privately owned company

Must be able to provide proof of right to work in Australia (copy of birth cert or passport)

Must be willing to undergo medical & drug and alcohol health screening

Ability and willingness to complete online and face to face training and inductions

Current Open Drivers License

Construction White Card

Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) with particular emphasis on Excel functions and formulae

Knowledge and experience in other project software e.g. MS Project

Sound communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to prioritise and organise work

Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
