Our client is fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation located in the northern suburbs of Canberra and are looking to add an experienced Network/Systems Administrator to their team on a permanent basis.

This full-time position includes participation in an on-call roster and offers the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

The role:

• Maintain, configure, and support network equipment (Meraki, Fortinet, Cisco)
• Administer Microsoft infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Group Policy
• Manage cloud services including Azure AD and Microsoft 365
• Maintain and monitor system backups, storage solutions, and disaster recovery procedures
• Perform routine patching, updates, and performance tuning across systems
• Provide tier 2/3 support and troubleshoot escalated technical issues
• Contribute to IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and security enhancements
• Participate in an on-call support roster (after hours)

Your skills:

• Proven experience in network and systems administration
• Strong working knowledge of Meraki, Fortinet firewalls, and Cisco networking equipment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, AD, Exchange, Group Policy
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration
• Familiar with storage systems, backup solutions, and DR strategies
• Solid understanding of security best practices and networking fundamentals
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified, Azure Fundamentals) are highly regarded
