About the Role

We are seeking an experience roof labourer for the installation of Australian Solar Mesh's birdproofing materials to join our team in Sydney, NSW and Brisbane, QLD.

As a contract role, this position will involve the installation of our innovative solar mesh products to birdproof solar installations at customer sites across the region. You will play a key part in delivering our high-quality solar solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Our team is responsible for installing high-quality patent pending solar protection systems that keep solar installations safe, efficient, and bird-free. You’ll be working on rooftops, using industry-leading materials, and ensuring families get the most out of their solar investment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Travelling to customer sites and carrying out efficient, safe installations of Australian Solar Mesh products

Liaising with customers to understand their specific requirements and ensure a smooth installation process

Troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise and resolving them promptly

Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail

Completing all necessary documentation and reporting requirements

Collaborating with the wider team to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

What we’re looking for:

Roofing experience is essential — whether you're a roofer by trade or have done consistent roof-based work.

Electrical or solar knowledge is highly preferred. If you've previously worked on solar installs or have familiarity with solar components, even better.

You must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

A great attitude and willingness to learn — we welcome candidates who may not have all the experience but are ready to put in the effort and grow with us.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver projects to a high standard

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Flexibility to travel to customer sites across the Sydney/Brisbane region

Australian Electrical Licence and relevant solar installation certifications (ideal but not essential)

White Card and Working at Heights certificate

Valid Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport

ABN and insurances required (this is a contractor-only role)
