About the Role

The Level 2+ AWS Cloud Support Engineer is a strategic Technical position within the organisation. This position is responsible for Maintaining the Design and integrity of customer’s Software Systems, Coordinating complex Projects, and Implementing Software Solutions. You’ll help ensure uptime, performance, and seamless user experiences across our AWS Partner Cloud Platforms.

Responsibilities

IT Support relating to Technical issues involving AWS's core business Applications, as well as virtual environments built on Linux / VMware.

Design, Implementation, and Support services for AWS related Technologies and Applications.

Implement and Support DR Solutions.

Remote access Solution Implementation and Support: VPN, Terminal Services and VDI .

System documentation and consulting services to include System reviews and recommendations.

Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.

Collaborate with Engineering, Server, and Operations teams to define Infrastructure requirements

Assist with Disaster Recovery (DR), backups, and Monitoring Tool Configuration

Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews

Recommend and evaluate new Tools and Technologies to improve Infrastructure efficiency

Ensure Compliance with AWS and Governance policies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

At least 3+ years of experience in IT Support or infrastructure roles with progression to AWS Cloud Engineering

Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Experience with AWS, Linux and VMWare

Familiarity with Firewalls, Patching, Backup/DR and remote management tools.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of team to problem solve and achieve quality outcomes

Excellent attention to details

The ideal candidate should have full-time working rights in Australia and qualify for NV-1/2 Security Clearance (due to some client requirements).
