Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker (Residential): Provide Compassionate, Hands-On Support to Our Aged Care Residents

We’re seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker (Residential) to join our team at the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN). In this vital role, you'll work closely with residents and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment.
About the Role:
The Direct Care Worker (Residential) is responsible and accountable for providing direct client services to residents of the Residential Care Home. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist residents with daily activities, promote independence and wellbeing, and contribute to a respectful, compassionate care experience.
What We’re Looking For:
- Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position with at least 560 hours satisfactory in service experience.
- Completed at least 560 hours satisfactory in-service experience.
- Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
- Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information
This is a part time vacancy, working 72 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:
- DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
- Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
