About the role:

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our close-knit finance team, with key responsibilities in accounts receivable and payroll in Bathurst, NSW. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the timely scheduling and collection of payments, maintaining precise records, and ensuring employees are accurately paid on a weekly basis.

Key accountabilities include:

Creating invoices, tracking debtor payments, and collection activities

Coordinating the credit application process and debtor management

Account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency

Completing the end-to-end processing of weekly payroll including: STP, PAYG, superannuation, employee deductions and government reporting.

Ensuring company records are maintained, up-to-date and in line with procedures.

About you:

You are a team player who enjoys accounts processes and are committed to delivering high-quality, consistent work. You develop rapport easily, have excellent English communication skills, and enjoy problem-solving.

Whether you're an experienced bookkeeper or ready to take the next step in your career, you're interested in learning and building on your current skill set through our comprehensive on-the-job training and ongoing support.

In addition, you are likely to:

Have 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, payroll or similar

Be proficient in accounting software and payroll systems (Xero experience preferred)

Have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Have a proven track record of maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines with a high level of attention to detail

Be discreet, reliable and committed to quality output

Experience in construction or manufacturing industries highly regarded!
