We are on the lookout for dynamic individuals to join our pool of Regional Assessors at our Kalgoorlie Office. As a Regional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in conducting practical driving assessments across the stunning Goldfields region for various driving classes. Your positive attitude will ensure that candidates drive safely and adhere to WA road rules before earning their driver’s licence. With your keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you will provide comprehensive feedback in a compassionate and informative manner.
Our ideal candidate is adaptable, able to work independently, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. As a Regional Assessor L3, you will need a current “C”, “R”, and “HR” class Western Australian driver’s licence with at least four years of safe driving experience.
Moreover, this role comes with a “District Allowance,” compensating for the unique challenges of living in regional Western Australia, such as climate, isolation, and cost of living.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months from date of first appointment across the Department of Transport.
We need someone who…
- Is versatile, hardworking, and adaptable and can deliver a high level of customer service excellence
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping people.
- Has held a C class licence for at least 4 years and be willing to upgrade to R class in the future.
- Communicates clearly with people of diverse backgrounds and provide compassionate yet honest feedback.
- Performs a variety of other duties as required such as counter service or administration.
