JOB ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Fixed Plant Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing fixed plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

You should be detail-oriented, focused, and adept at interpreting blueprints. A Fitter should be able to safely use hand and power tools as well as demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

REPSONIBILITES & TASKS

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fixed plant equipment.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

Install, align, and dismantle machinery and equipment as required.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.

Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

MUST HAVE relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Fitting or equivalent OR 3 years work experience in lieu of qualification).

Minimum 1 year work experience as a Fixed Plant Fitter or in a similar role.

MUST HAVE Current C Class Western Australian driver's licence.

MUST HAVE Confined Space Ticket.

MUST HAVE Working at Heights Ticket.

MUST HAVE White Card.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Commitment to adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Willingness to work at heights and in various environmental conditions.

Welding experience desirable.

Loader, EWP, Forklift & Dogging tickets are desirable.

High level of experience with general fitting activities in a gold processing plant desirable.

National Police Clearance (Less than 6 months).

Willingness to undertake a full site medical and drug and alcohol.

Experience and comfortable working in remote locations.
