About the role

Join the Mental Health Community Coalition ACT as a 0.8FTE Business Manager. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial, administrative and operational functions of this small but dynamic not-for-profit organisation based in Canberra. With your strong business acumen and passion for mental health advocacy, you will contribute to the strategic goals and ensure the efficient running of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

Manage the day-to-day operations, including financial management, human resource systems, and administrative tasks

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to streamline organisational processes

Oversee the preparation of financial reports and budgets

Provide high-level support to the CEO

Drive initiatives across the organisation to optimise productivity and efficiency

Work with the IT company to utilise available technologies to improve effectiveness

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and funding requirements

What we're looking for

Significant experience in a business management or operations role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector

Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, reporting, and grant acquittal

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Proven track record in implementing efficient administrative systems and processes

Demonstrated commitment to the organisation's mission and values

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people

Tertiary qualifications in business, management, or a related field
