General Manager – Incar Installations (National Expansion & Operations Focus)
Location: Wollongong, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $200K Package
Sector: Automotive Services / Mobility Modifications / National Operations
About Us
Incar Installations is a highly specialised division of Bears Auto Group, a leading automotive service network operating across NSW, VIC, QLD, and ACT. Since 1985, we’ve delivered expert solutions in:
Vehicle mobility modifications (NDIS-registered)
Premium car audio installations
Auto electrical services and ADAS calibrations
Air conditioning, child safety restraints, and more
As we scale nationally, we’re seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the next phase of growth, innovation, and service excellence.
The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to oversee operations, drive strategic expansion, and scale a multifaceted automotive business with national reach.
As General Manager of the Incar Division, you will be responsible for both the high-level strategic direction and the day-to-day execution of operations across all Incar Installations business lines. This includes managing existing operations, improving internal systems, developing new service offerings, rolling out fixed and mobile service units across the country, and expanding our footprint in both private and government-regulated (NDIS) markets.
You’ll be directly responsible for leading cross-functional teams including operations, technical staff, business development, administration, and marketing. You’ll coordinate closely with the Directors and COO to implement national strategy while ensuring local success at the ground level. From developing performance reporting frameworks and managing state-specific compliance, to mentoring division leads and implementing customer acquisition campaigns—this role demands a well-rounded and proactive leader.
You will also work collaboratively with equipment suppliers, referrers (such as OTs), and major insurance companies to secure long-term partnerships. In addition, you’ll ensure all services—whether delivered from a fixed site or mobile van—meet strict quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards. A deep understanding of both automotive service delivery and the complexity of the NDIS landscape is essential.
The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and perfect for someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment where they can directly influence the direction, performance, and growth trajectory of a nationally expanding brand.
A key part of the role will also include onboarding and supporting technicians in new regions as mobile services launch. You’ll ensure every van is staffed by skilled, well-trained technicians and implement an incentive and bonus framework to motivate local ownership of results. Each mobile unit should be empowered to drive its own sales, hit revenue targets, and exceed customer satisfaction benchmarks, creating a performance-driven culture that scales with the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & National Expansion
Drive the rollout of mobile service vans delivering ADAS, Auto Electrical, EV, and A/C services
Lead the expansion of NDIS vehicle modification programs into new states
Develop scalable systems for operations, quoting, bookings, and reporting

Manage recruitment, training, and development as the business grows
Conduct performance reviews and lead local managers through transition and growth phases
Foster a performance-oriented and inclusive team culture across all divisions
Identify talent gaps and succession planning needs in expanding regions
Onboard new technicians and implement incentive frameworks that drive ownership, revenue generation, and local accountability in mobile service teams
Client and Partner Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with Occupational Therapists, insurers, and NDIS referrers
Represent the business at expos, networking events, and key industry meetings
Drive new B2B relationships and commercial opportunities nationally
Create and deliver presentations to partners, insurers, and stakeholders
Secure national service agreements or preferred provider status with key organisations
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of leadership and growth within the automotive industry. You have experience running and scaling a business, with demonstrable results that show how you've expanded services, improved profitability, or led teams through growth phases. You’re a quick learner, capable of grasping the complexities of the NDIS landscape and adapting processes accordingly.
About You
You possess a deep understanding of budgeting and financial management, along with excellent people leadership skills and strong procurement capability. Your existing network in the automotive, fleet, insurance, or healthcare space is well-established and can be strategically leveraged for partnership opportunities and client acquisition.
