Accessed from Oliver Lane in the Flinders Lane dining quarter, the restaurant provides delicious Modern-Asian cuisine, cool cocktails, and an a highly awarded list of local and international wines; all served in a vibrant restaurant environment.

About the role

Trading 7 days, lunch through dinner & providing friendly and attentive service in an energetic restaurant environment, we’re looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and friendly section waiter to join our front of house team.

Lucy Liu is a busy restaurant serving up to 450 diners and drinkers per day. The section waiter is the primary contact for most of our diners, advising them on our menu, maintaining beverage service and clearing tables, communicating with management to support turning tables in a fluid service, and supporting general restaurant operations.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional mind-set having had previous section waiting experience in either a restaurant or cafe environment.

Also you will need to possess (or learn):

Good time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, a with a magnetic personality.

Some knowledge of wine, beers and spirits for us to build on.

Grace and a calm demeanor under pressure.

A genuine desire to learn, grow and work well in a team environment.
