The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication to oversee operations across both Ultralift and Westberg Sheetmetal. This dual-role position requires a hands-on leader to manage daily production activities, drive process improvements, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage teams of fabricators, welders, and production staff across both facilities.

Oversee sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, press brake folding, MIG and TIG welding.

Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Implement and promote LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures and facilitate effective communication through regular team meetings.

Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.

Manage and enforce OH&S standards, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all staff.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, welding, or steel manufacturing.

Minimum of 3 years in a Production Supervisor or Managerial role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of metalwork techniques, materials, and fabrication best practices.

Experience with production planning systems and LEAN manufacturing tools.

Commitment to OH&S and fostering a culture of safety.

Effective leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
