KLN Cold Chain are recruiting for an experienced Metal Fabricator. This role will work with management to ensure all company trailer, vehicles are road worthy and safe. The Metal Fabricator will be compliant with workplace and legislative obligations whilst contributing to the maintenance of our fleet of vehicles

The key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

Fabricate and construct metal components for trailers, shipping containers, vehicles

Assemble and weld metal components

Understand engineering blueprints and design plans to fabricate and weld trailers, shipping containers, vehicles

Perform quality checks and inspections on completed trailers, shipping containers and vehicles (if required)

Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers, shipping containers and any other metal components

Ordering metal stock and other metal components

Collaborate with other team members – welders, metal fabricators, supervisors

Ensure all fabrication and welding are of a high standard

Follow safety regulations

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Driver’s License

Mechanical Fabrication or similar trade qualification

Experience in similar working environment for at least 5 years

Strong technical skills and able to interpret engineering blueprints
