About Us:
At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community. Social Policy in The Cabinet Office plays a central role in addressing strategic issues across a range of areas including health, housing, disability services, child safety, youth justice, multicultural affairs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy.
How you'll contribute:
The Principal Policy Officer will work within a small team of experienced policy officers, dedicated to supporting each other to achieve the goals of government. The role will be responsible for the Women's, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism portfolio areas and will work closely with the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism and Queensland Treasury to progress the Government's portfolio priorities, through:
• Analysing complex policy issues and contributing ideas on solutions.
• Preparing a range of policy and briefing documents, including for Cabinet.
• Building collaborative relationships and representing the department across government.
What you'll bring to the role:

• Exceptional communication both written and verbal or the ability to navigate various styles of communication.
