The Advancing Innovation in Respiratory (AIR) Health Team is a multi-disciplinary group with skills in clinical medicine, clinical trials, and respiratory biology, that are committed to improving the lives of children with respiratory diseases and their families.
An exciting new opportunity has opened up for a passionate and motivated research Program Manager role in the Air Health Team. This role will be responsible for the oversight and development of a sustainable respiratory clinical research program with a focus on cystic fibrosis (CF), contributing to the delivery of high-quality clinical research and ensuring strategic and operational alignment.
As Program Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing research frameworks in accordance with relevant ethics and governance requirements.
Coordinating day-to-day operations required to strengthen the CF research program, including development of standard operating procedures.
Contributing to ethics and governance reports as well as funding reports.
Performing regular quality checks of participant documentation and study data and samples.
Effective coordination of change management processes, encouraging innovation, diversity and continuous improvement.
Liaising with internal teams, community partners, and stakeholders.
Conveniently located within Perth Children’s Hospital, this is a full-time position for a period of 18 months, with the possibility of extension.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in a science, health and/or management-related discipline and will possess the following skills:
Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
Understanding of health research and Good Clinical Practice.
High-level experience in research program and/or project management in clinical trial and/or cohort studies.
Ability to lead and support a high-performing team in a complex environment.
Superior people skills with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships.
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach.
