Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Signal Tester / Function Tester to join a growing team, to ensure the critical signalling systems behind various rail networks throughout Australia. Help test, inspect, and certify rail signalling systems in line with industry standards.

ARTC Statement of Competency is highly desirable for this position.

Location- Sydney and throughout NSW (FIFO/DIDO options available)

Duration- Permanent

Salary- $150,000 - $160,000 + Super + LAFA

Responsibilities

· Testing and commissioning of signalling equipment, including track equipment, points, interlockings, location cases and correlation of relay rooms and cables

· Liaise with engineering teams, project managers, and Test & Commissioning personnel

· Verification and certification of new cables

· Notify train control of planned works.

· Defining and updating test plans

· Achieving system acceptance with Tester in Charge

· Fault-finding of circuitry, reporting of any errors

· Installation of new equipment and wiring modifications.

· Maintain daily logbook of testing activity

· Assist with audits

· Ensure work complies with safety regulations, technical specifications, operator relevant standards e.g. IRSE, ARTC, CRN, Sydney Trains,

Requirements

5+ years on-site Signal testing experience

Relevant Certification for Signal Testing e.g.

ARTC, CRN, Sydney Trains, QR, MTM or Vline Statement of Competency

IRSE Functional Tester 1.3.170 Licence

Drivers Licence
