The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Consultant to join the Business Applications team, with a primary focus on delivering exceptional customer experience solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.

This role will be instrumental in leading the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce initiatives, while also occasionally overseeing web development projects in collaboration with external vendors. As a key interface between business and technology teams, you’ll work closely with Customer Experience, Sales, and Pricing stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design and delivery of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices;
• Act as the technical lead on Salesforce sprints, guiding developers and resolving complex issues;
• Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions;
• Participate in daily stand-ups and work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritise and deliver work items;
• Provide direction and quality oversight to external development partners when needed;
• Conduct code reviews, technical assessments, and uphold security and performance standards;
• Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce features, releases, and industry trends; and
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform.

Skills Required

• Strong Salesforce development experience including APEX (triggers, controllers, batch jobs), SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce;
• Demonstrated experience in Communities (Experience Cloud) development using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript;
• Proven knowledge of Salesforce security, governance, and best practices;
• Experience with CPQ, Sales, and Service Cloud;
• Understanding of DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Bitbucket, Jenkins, Confluence);
• Familiarity with web technologies and external systems integration via APIs; and
• Ability to work in Agile teams and manage multiple priorities across stakeholders.
