Head Chef | Regional QLD | Aged Care
Are you a qualified Chef or experienced Cook ready for a change of pace and scenery? We’re looking for someone passionate about food and community to join a medium-sized residential aged care facility in a permanent full-time role, based in rural QLD - about 2 hours away from Rockhampton!

About the Role:
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a quieter lifestyle while using your culinary skills to make a real impact. You'll be preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals for aged care residents, working in a kitchen that values creativity, safety, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and individual needs
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food preparation
• Support the development and implementation of menus
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive kitchen culture focused on quality service

What We’re Looking For:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)
• Proven ability to manage food prep in a high-volume setting
• Understanding of Australian food safety and WHS standards
• Past experience in aged care is not necessary but favourable!
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• A genuine interest in supporting the health and wellbeing of aged care residents
• Willingness to undergo relevant checks and clearances
