About the role
As a Clinical Support Officer in the Cancer Directorate, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our outpatient clinics. You'll be the friendly and professional first point of contact for patients, providing a high standard of reception and administrative support. Working closely with clinical staff, you'll help coordinate appointments, manage records, and contribute to a welcoming and organised environment for clients and their families.
This dynamic position offers a variety of responsibilities, including working on a rotating roster to support both client-facing and behind-the-scenes functions. You’ll also provide backfill for other administrative roles during periods of leave, ensuring continuity of service across the Cancer Directorate. About you
You’re a motivated and adaptable individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about providing high-quality support in healthcare settings. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities make you a valuable asset to any team.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations
Strong administrative experience, including use of hospital IT systems
Proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines under pressure
