Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Practice Leader to join the Far North, Far West Team on a full-time term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Providing advice, information, resources, mentoring, coaching and other support to strengthen the practice capability of office staff.
Monitoring practice quality within the office, identifying practice issues and implementing quality improvement strategies.
Leading strategic projects to build practice capability within the office.
Promoting a learning culture within the office by developing and sourcing relevant training opportunities.
Recognising skill and knowledge gaps amongst office staff and facilitating training or other development activities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in providing an evidence based and culturally appropriate social work practice to children, young people, their families and carers.
Knowledge of issues and systems affecting children and young people requiring care and protection, including their families and carers.
Experience in establishing and maintaining a professional learning and development environment.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
Experience in providing reflective supervision in a child protection context.
