We’re working with a well-established Australian manufacturer with multiple sites nationally. Their Melbourne facility is a clean, safety-focused, and well-run operation—and they’re now seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead their on-site team.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of all site maintenance activities, leading a team of 10 electrical and mechanical trades in a fast-paced production environment. Reporting to the Site Manager, your focus will be on driving preventative maintenance, reducing downtime, and fostering a strong safety and performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team of 10 maintenance trades

Oversee both electrical and mechanical maintenance functions

Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs

Ensure site compliance with safety protocols and maintenance standards

Manage contractor performance and minor capital works

Work closely with site leadership to drive reliability and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

Trade or engineering qualifications (electrical or mechanical)

Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of safety systems and maintenance best practices

Hands-on approach with a focus on developing people and processes

Excellent communication and leadership skills
