About the role
We are seeking compassionate and experienced support workers to assist a client with quadriplegia in a modern, well-equipped family home in central Maribyrnong. Various shifts are available to cover 24-hour care. If you have a genuine passion for making a positive impact and possess the necessary experience, we invite you to apply and become a valued member of our dedicated team.

  • Assist with supporting appointments, including transportation and coordination via a Maxi Taxi
  • Provide assistance with eating, drinking, and medication management
  • Offer support with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including hoisting, to ensure client mobility and comfort
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through housekeeping duties
  • Assist with catheter and bowel care to maintain hygiene and comfort

About you

  • Experienced in supporting individuals with quadriplegia, including personal care, manual handling (hoisting), and assisting with daily activities
  • Provide catheter care and assist/support a nurse with bowel care procedures, ensuring adherence to care plans and maintaining client dignity
  • Competent in personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with eating and drinking
  • Reliable and flexible, with the ability to commit to various shifts, including morning, afternoon, and non-active sleepover shifts, to ensure 24-hour care coverage
  • Possess necessary clearances and documentation, including a valid Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Australian Standard CPR and First Aid certification
