About the Company

Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to manage a team for a number of low to medium risk audits or provide support on high-risk audits.

About the Role/s

· manage multiple low to medium risk audits ensuring the timely, effective and efficient achievement of the departments objectives including meeting quality and cost budget requirements

· assess gaps in security practices and potential audit observations and the corresponding recommendations build productive working relationships with all stakeholders within the department, across Government and Industry sectors

· lead and manage an audit team including providing ongoing learning and development opportunities to build the capability of staff and actively managing employee performance to ensure business outcomes are achieved to a quality standard

· identify and champion continuous improvement to improve business efficiency

· ensure adherence to the department audit methodology, relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards and information security standards and better practices

· promote and model the established the department core values of: Engage, Respect, Inspire, and Deliver

· take reasonable care for your own and others' health and safety; follow health and safety instructions; and support and cooperate with health and safety systems, policies and procedures.

About you

· proven ability to lead and manage a team on multiple low and medium risk audits to deliver business outcomes to a high-quality standard and in a timely and cost-effective manner

· demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in the application of:

- Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards and relevant information security standards

- analysis of large data using various tools

- audit and assurance methodologies

· demonstrated ability to assess information security risks and controls in line with information security standards and better practices

· demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships with all stakeholders within the department across Government and Industry sectors

· proven written and oral communication skills suitable for application to a variety of forums including high level client meetings and reports to parliament

· proven ability to develop and apply innovative ideas, the latest technologies, and new techniques, whilst ensuring appropriate principles are maintained.

The Benefits

· $85.31 to $91.38 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)

· Contract role

· Brisbane, CBD

· Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
