POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Regional Manager – Hunter/Central Coast. (RMHCC)
Description: Full-Time Position
Reports To: Chief Operations Officer (COO) but working closely with the Executive Leadership team (ELT)
Location: RAS Ltd enjoys the use of multiple offices, it is envisaged that the primary location of this role will be based at either the Hunter or Central Coast Offices, with work to also be required across multiple other regions at times.
Position Purpose
The Regional Manager reports to the COO and provides comprehensive oversight of the effective management of regional operations, regional staff, sporting programs, and events within their designated region. This role includes responsibility for a regional budget ensuring the financial health and performance of their region, which contributes to the overall financial well-being of the organisation. The Regional Manager – Hunter/Central Coast, must set budgets, monitor cash flow, and provide strategic advice to the COO regarding any operational gaps or financial concerns of the business specific to regional targets mutually set.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Oversight:
· Ensure the effective implementation and execution of sports programs, events and special offerings within the region.
· Oversee the implementation and adherence of the organisation’s HR & Business Operations in the region of Hunter/Central Coast Region.
· Manage the local commercial partnerships including corporate partners, sponsors and suppliers, including local Councils within the regions ensuring the commercial entitlements are effectively delivered.
· Supervise and support regional staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to organisational policies.
· Create a work environment where staff are supported.
· Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient processes within the region.
2. Financial Management and Reporting:
· Develop and manage regional budgets that are aligned with the organisational goals.
· Manage and analyse cash flow of regional programs to ensure financial wellbeing of the region.
· Monitor and analyse financial performance, particularly for each sport program, identifying trends and areas for improvement in sport programs
· Work closely with program and events staff in setting sport program and events budgets
· Provide regular financial reports and updates to the COO.
· Identify and address any financial discrepancies or gaps within with regional operations.
· Maintain internal controls to safeguard the organisation's regional invoicing and payments and ensure financial integrity of regional performance.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the support staff in programs, events and performance support, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Ensure the support team has the skills and resources needed to support the organisation's operational goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and development opportunities for team members.
4. Regional Commercial Operations:
Manage commercial relationships in the region including sponsorship and contra partnerships
Working with the Commercial Director of RAS ltd drive and cultivate new relationships within the region.
Secure Regional Sports Programs Partners, including facility focused contra relationship.
Ensure delivery on commercial KPIs for the wider organisation’s major partners.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including regional corporate partners, local government representatives, regional committees as examples.
· Work closely with the COO to build lasting relationship with key industry stakeholders from within regional operations.
6. Operational Support:
Work with other Regional Managers driving consistency across the network in terms of sport program operations.
Collaborate with other Regional Managers to ensure operations are consistent and effective across all locations.
Responsible for finding new sport programs for the region including sourcing coaches and facilities
Drive registrations and nominations for the region’s programs.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer. Additional support is available with others in the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), including the CEO and Group Commercial Director and General Manager – Finance & Governance.
The role is required to work in a close and collaborative manner with other Regional Managers and the COO.
Expectations / Qualifications / Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
· Strong interest in sport.
· Proven experience in regional management, operations, or a similar role.
· Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills.
· High interest and demonstrated experience in a stakeholder’s communications role with some experience in online multimedia technologies
· Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to analyse data and provide strategic insights.
· Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
· A strong desire to keep pushing the boundaries, innovating, and driving the development of the field of strength and conditioning.
· An awareness of the essential need to be a ‘Child Safe’ sporting organisation.

Remuneration / Entitlements
A Total Remuneration Package (TRP) will be agreed with the COO, the TRP equals a Base Salary, plus 12% Super. In addition to the TRP a supplementary benefits package will be contained within the Employee Terms and Conditions Agreement supplied separately to this document. The employment agreement and inclusions MUST remain confidential between the employee and employer.
Notes
· The role will be employed by RAS Ltd, servicing its member regions including Central Coast, Hunter, North Coast and Southern and Limestone Coast.
· You must have a valid Working With Children Check prior to being appointed by the RAS Ltd.
· The Regional Manager agrees to follow the RAS Ltd Child Safety Standards.
· The Regional Manager will be subject to an initial 6-month probationary period.
