As a Tree Labourer with a Medium Rigid (MR) licence , you'll be an integral part of the dynamic Open Space team operating out of their Port Melbourne or Ravenhall depot. We have immediate requirements for Experienced Tree Workers/MR Tree Labourers in a casual capacity (fulltime hours) with a view to permanency.

These positions require you to work within a highly experienced Arboriculture team, undertaking programmed maintenance and tree management based at their Port Melbourne or Ravenhall Depot.

Core responsibilities (role dependant)

Perform tree maintenance/removal using both hand tools and chainsaws.

Pruning trees from both the ground and aerially (using an EWP if licenced).

MR Truck driving

Tree Watering

Tree Planting

Groundwork maintenance-Stump grinding, weed management, mulching etc

Root Barrier installation

Chipper Operation

Chainsaw maintenance and pre-operational checks of all equipment

Skills and experience

MR/HR licence, highly desirable

Arboriculture experience highly desirable but not essential as full training can be provided

Chainsaw licence- highly regarded

Traffic control ticket- highly regarded

A desire to work in the outdoors

Excellent physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the role

A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt

Strong commitment to following all health and safety protocols and procedures

Current Victorian Drivers Licence
