Air Water Power is seeking a WHS Administration Assistant 3 days per week to provide support to our business. This role is focused on WHS admin and would suit someone with experience in WHS or studying for a WHS qualification. We are seeking someone approx. 6hrs per day, however the days and times are flexible. The role is office based with occasional site visits. In the future the role may transition to permanent part time.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day Implementation of the AWP Work Health Safety Management System

Collection and input of WHS data into systems

Liaise with Project Managers to ensure they are collecting and submitting WHS documentation

Participate in regular meetings with Project Managers to review WHS project compliance, & assist if needed (chasing up SWMS, reviewing SWMS, setting up documents in WHS system etc)

Creating new projects in WHS system and closing completed projects

Checking of contractor insurances & licenses and obtaining and updating in WHS system

Ongoing checks of WHS software data and updating details for contractors and contractor workers

Vetting of new subcontractors to ensure WHS suitability

Assist with documentation to support our ISO 45001 accreditation

Assist during AWP WHS meetings with taking minutes and recording actions

Assist with planning and scheduling WHS training

Ensure AWP staff WHS competencies are current (eg Work safely at heights, first aid, white card, EWP)

Checking first aid kits and making list of required stock, update info in WHS system

Attend project sites as necessary to carry out WHS Inspections

Regularly check PPE items, keep register of stock and order more as required

Tracking of WHS equipment allocated to Project Managers

Carry out periodic safety Inspections of office and warehouse areas

Any other duties as required in line with your training and experience

Skills & Attributes:

Attention to detail

Knowledge of and ability to work with WHS legislation, codes of practice, policies and procedures, SWMS, JSAs

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Positive & friendly, with excellent communication skills

Organised with good time management skills

Proficient using standard software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe)

Ability to learn new systems & software (eg Skytrust, CM3, Rapid Global)

Comfortable working in a fast-paced small business

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Relevant experience in a similar role

Experience in a similar WHS role and/or currently studying for a WHS qualification

NSW drivers licence
