Your next career opportunity
As the Research Strategy Project Officer, you'll play a crucial role in implementing the Faculty of Science's 2023-2030 Research Strategy. You'll have the opportunity to coordinate key research initiatives, support cross-disciplinary collaborations, and contribute to Indigenous engagement projects. This role offers you the chance to work closely with senior research leaders, hone your project management skills, and make a significant impact on the Faculty's research ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate Strategic Research Initiatives: Provide high-quality project support for key actions in the 2024 Research Strategy Implementation Plan, including Indigenous engagement and cross-disciplinary funding programs.

  • Support Governance and Reporting: Assist committees and working groups by organising meetings, recording minutes, and actioning agenda items.

  • Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate events, workshops, and seminars, while managing relationships with diverse stakeholders across the Faculty.

  • Develop Strategic Documentation: Draft reports, briefing notes, and business documents for Faculty leadership, synthesising information from various sources.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in research administration, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a complex academic environment.

You may also:

  • Have a tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the tertiary sector.

  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate strong project management and organisational abilities.

  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Have experience in conceptualising complex project information and managing ambiguity.

  • Have knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and cultures (desirable).
