Make a Real Impact in Disaster Recovery! - Immediate Start Contracts
Our client is a highly regarded government organisation committed to delivering exceptional services that enhance government operations and support the community. They are urgently seeking 30 dedicated and empathetic Assessment Officers to play a crucial role in supporting disaster recovery grants across NSW.
These vital contract roles are available for an immediate, staggered start and will run until 30th September 2025, offering a pay rate of $37.33 per hour + Super.
Important Notes:
- NSW Residency: Successful candidates must be based in NSW. We cannot accept interstate candidates.
- Availability: You must be available to start ASAP with no pre-booked holidays or leave.
- Hybrid Work: This is a hybrid role based in Gosford 2 days per week (subject to change based on business requirements). You will also require reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
- Police Check: A Police Check must be completed prior to your start date.
The Role: Reporting through to a supportive Team Leader, you will work 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between 8am - 5pm. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking timely and efficient assessments on referred matters, applying relevant knowledge, legislation, regulations, and procedures to make accountable determinations.
- Providing clear, accurate, and timely information and advice to customers regarding assessment outcomes, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Supporting customers through a variety of complex issues, gathering necessary information, determining outcomes, and communicating these effectively, especially during difficult conversations.
- Performing a range of administrative services, responding to enquiries, and completing processing activities with accuracy and efficiency to support quality customer service outcomes.
- Assisting with team supervision, resource management, and handling escalated issues as required.
About You: To be successful for these impactful roles, you must possess the following experience and personal qualities:
- Available for an immediate start with no pre-scheduled holidays/leave
- Currently based in NSW (accessable to Gosford) with high-speed internet access for hybrid work
- Possess strong problem-solving and exceptional customer service skills, with a proven ability to navigate difficult conversations with vulnerable customers empathetically
- Experience in claims, case management, or a high-volume documentation processing environment is highly favourable
- Experience in grants, rebates, and vouchers administration is preferable, but not essential
- Prior experience using Salesforce and/or Genesys systems is highly advantageous
- A current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement) is essential
